About Sentry

The members of wiscons in Retail Hardware Association established the Sentry. The Sentry company was established in 1904 by them to provide quality insurance for its members. Sentry is among the largest and strongest mutual insurance companies in the United States. It achieved its reputation by providing a full line of insurance coverages for businesses, families and individuals. It is situated in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. It has been rated A+ by A.M. Best for its assets of $9.35 billion and a policyholder surplus of $2.5 billion.

It also offers a full line of insurance for auto, home, life and other property/casualty policies and also retirement planning services, pensions and annuities. Sentry also provides special offers for the persons having multiple vehicles, students, anti-theft, safe driver and many more which is encouraging to the members. They are active in the group policy marketplace as well.

It offers several insurance programs like Auto Insurance with cash rewards, High risk driver auto insurance and preferred Auto insurance. Sentry insurance also insures motorcycles, boats, and recreational vehicles (RVs). Joining in to the sentry insurance is also very easy, you can get application form on line and it is very easy to understand. The form will take no time to complete. I waited over three months for my recoreds to be sent and reviewed. Everytime, I call it's another couple of weeks for something to be scheduled. Customer service is horrible..

We have insurance on our cabin rental that's 7 hours away from us and they day before we was suppose to have a renters, our cabin got robbed so we lost the renter and our appliance's.I just found today 20 days after it happened that Sentry Insurance dropped our coverage. It's bad enough being a victum for criminals and now our Sentry Insurance is penalizing us for something that is out of our control. I don't even know if they are going to send us a check for our loss. Don't get robbed if you have Sentry Insurance because they will drop you!.

I don't know about the cost but claims service is horrible. My daughter was hit from behind and the guy had Sentry Insurance so it was his fault but then when I called they were very terse and not at all friendly, they lowballed the estimate and tried to have your car fixed the cheapest way possible. Then they tell you that the auto shop has to get approval if more repairs are needed than was originally estimated, so when that happens, they take thier time and the shop is kept waiting for approval, meanwhile, you are left stranded without a vehicle because your claims representative won't return your phone calls..

Sentry Insurance Auto Claims are a bunch of "cheats" this co has over 1 Billion dollars in assets. this co states that they are prompt, courteous, & fair. they are NOT! they offer a "low" figure but do NOT offer a higher figure. they ignore the "mental anguish" aspect & state someone has to prove it. DO NOT USE SENTRY INSURANCE CO & pray that if you are involved in an accident that is "clearly" someone elses fault, that they do NOT have SENTRY!.

Very scummy with their claims. They waited one day before the statute ended to make an offer on the case knowing I would not have time to make a lawsuit. I was pregnant during the car accident and I was hit from behind on the freeway, and high speed inpact and they offered a ridiculous settlement for the pain and suffering and basically told me I was faking the injury..
